EnergyEfficiencyNews: The US solar energy market is getting an early Christmas present this week with the announcement of new investments by Warren Buffett and Google. Warren Buffett’s MidAmerican Energy Holdings has made its second investment in solar power, announcing the purchase of a 49% stake in the 0,29 GW Agua Caliente project in Yuma County, Arizona being developed by NRG Energy. The $1.8 billion project is being supported by a $967 million loan guarantee from the US Department of Energy.
