UK: Wind Power hits 3 GW mark for the first time

Edie.Net: Britain’s wind power generation capacity continues to smash records as it beat the significant mark of 3,000 MW (3 GW). At the peak time of 11.58am, Tuesday 6 September, wind power generation reached a total 3,021 MW at that point in the day, wind power was supplying 7.2% of the total amount of electricity on the grid.
